Further Clarity on Fat

Dietitian Chris Rosenbloom, in a USA Swimming article, adds her voice to the coconut oil debate. She points out that while coconut oil is plant-based, it is high in saturated fat, and so its use can contribute to cardiovascular disease.  Rosenbloom herself endorses the use of canola oil in everyday cooking and, pointing to an image of the Canola Council of Canada’s Comparison of Dietary Fat chart, says “a picture is worth a 1000 words”.
