With so many food options available to consumers aiming to eat right, the Los Angeles Times reports on what matters and what doesn’t. Martha Belury, PhD and Professor of Human Nutrition at Ohio State University, recommends increasing intake of oils rich in omega-3 fats, found in canola oil. Canola oil is listed as a best oil for its ability to help lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. “There’s definitely a place for healthy oils in a good diet,” said Belury.
