Encourage your family to love vegetables by making them tasty with a healthier fat such as canola oil, advises a registered dietitian in the Chicago Tribune. They don’t have to be raw, says the co-author of “Healthy Eating, Healthy Weight for Kids and Teens.” “But you don’t have to cook them in butter. If you’re going to add fat, try olive or canola oil. It still has calories, but they’re much healthier .”
