Cook Like a Cowboy
You can grill steak, broil it, pan-fry it or simply place it in an oven. Or you can do as the cowboy does and deep fry it in canola oil, as featured in Canadian Living. The steak is lowered via pitchfork into several litres of canola oil in a giant propane-powered fryer. After four minutes of cooking, the steak is medium-rare and ready for seasoning. The author notes that this technique should be left to the professional cowboy chefs, giving you an excuse to visit your nearest ranch.
